MANNISMS - Keeping an eye on John Mann MP

Under new management

The Management would like to annouce that the previous owner of Mannisms has decided that he is too committed elsewhere and has passed the blog on to another to continue. That would be me.

Actually, I’ve been posting on here for some time, sharing the load, as it were.

The previous owner was somewhat constrained, due to his position as a councillor.  I am not.

The blog is no longer hosted in the UK. To save the Diddy Manns brains from bursting trying to find it, it’s now in Texas, y’all. And there are a further two mirror sites in countries where you wouldn’t like to walk about in the dark and the authorities (LOL) would laugh their asses off at any attempt to get this masterpiece of English prose shut down.

So Mannisms is here to stay.

How do you like them apples, John?

  1. I am pleased to see that the blog has returned to posting. Good luck

  2. Good to see the blog is back up and running again. What a bugger the Wanker was re-elected.

    Cheers

  3. You say
“The blog is no longer hosted in the UK….at any attempt to get this masterpiece of English prose shut down.”

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simon_Sheppard_%28activist%29

“In 2008, Sheppard was arrested in the UK and charged with using his website to circulate “material likely to incite racial hatred”.
The website is based in Torrance, California, so Sheppard rejects English legal jurisdiction over the published writings. However, on 10 July 2009, he was sentenced to 4 years and 10 months in prison, and his co-defendant, Stephen Whittle, was convicted of five similar offences.[2] These sentences for publishing material on the Internet were described as “groundbreaking” by Adil Khan, representing Humberside police.”

Whatever you might think of the now imprisoned Simon Sheppard’s heretical.com website he thought he was safe from prosecution by the UK authorities because they have no juridical authority where his server space is held.
His website’s content I see can still be read/seen at that site but he isn’t in any position to edit or publish new content.
If the PC crowd who now run Britain see you as an enemy they will just ignore the fact that they have no jurisdiction in law to prosecute. To prosecute Sheppard they claimed that as his site can be read in Britain this gave them the authority, a ludicrous argument claiming an authority over what is published on Internet that they just don’t have but they can and do have the arbitrary power to arrest and charge you with anything they like if you live here. That’s why they’ve been busy making all those laws which give’s their hired hands in the judiciary the latitude to do precisely what they want.
Britain is now ruled by people with a totalitarian mindset and it is only the legacy of a freer time in our history that currently constrains them into taking much more extensive action against “mal-contents”.

I shouldn’t confuse their inability to close down your blog’s server by moving it out of their physical reach with an inability to prosecute you on its contents so I wouldn’t be too confident about your freedom to publish and be damned if I were you.

With this crowd even if are just happening to be passing through Britain like Australian Dr Fredrick Toben they arrest you under an excuse of European Arrest Warrant
