I’ve just got some information on the booklet (there goes another rainforest) which the Diddy Manns have been dropping through the letterboxes of the unsuspecting people of Retford.
As we have come to expect, the document contains more false claims than an MP’s expenses.
But the one really noticable thing was a TOTAL ABSENCE of any reference to the Labour Party. You’d never know that this shameless begging letter booklet came from a Labour candidate for the general election.
What’s up, John? Are you ashamed to be associated with Broon & Co?
I’ve emailed No10 and asked if they knew you were looking for a divorce.
I’ll let you know if they bother with a reply.

In his recent letter to Retford residents (see previous post), John Mann’s loyalty to the Labour Party seems to have evaporated.

I am asking you and your family and friends to support me in being re-elected as your MP because of my commitment to keep fighting hard for the people of Bassetlaw no matter who forms the next Government
Not a word about Labour Party national policies or a few words of encouragement for his boss. In fact, the only mention of Labour is in the letter’s address.
I’m sure Gordon Broon will be delighted to read this.
Every Mann for himself, eh?
Solidarity brothers!

Paw Broon (pun intended) has come up with a way to bring to heel a few hundred dangerous dogs, who are undoubtedly far more intelligent than the nutters who hold their leads. He’s going to slap a tax on the 5.4 million responsible owners who love and care for their dogs.
But the irresponsible dog owners who are being targeted don’t give a monkeys and are highly unlikely to cough up the tax or take any notice of the law anyway. Which leaves us exactly where we are now, except Paw Broon has got a nice little earner going at the expense of pet lovers.
Meanwhile, back in Bassetlaw, Labour Councillors proposed an amendement to the Council budget to raise £20,000 fining people who allow their dogs to defecate in public places. To ensure the revenue is generated, the Council would have to abandon it’s ongoing efforts to keep the streets free of dog shit do. Fortunately, the amendment was defeated, so we don’t have to look forward to wading through streets full of you-know-what and enforcement officers on every corner to fine the transgressors after the fact.
The Labour Party clearly sees dogs as a financial opportunity. Exit the cash cow, say hello to the money mutt.

Gordon Brown recently asked voters to ‘have another look at Labour’ before deciding on which way to vote at the upcoming election.
I suggest you do just that, if you MUST vote Labour in Bassetlaw.
You may change your mind about voting for John Mann, though, if you check out this site:
www.bassetlawlabour.co.uk
I personally don’t support anything on the site but it’s an alternative for Labour voters as it claims to be True Labour.
